Carlo, a mining and mineral resources engineer, worked at the beginning of his career as an international coal trader for Ruhrkohle AG, Thyssen Carbometall and General Manager Coal&Coke for Carbo Trade Inter, prior to setting up various coal related businesses in Germany and Netherlands.
Since 2002 Carlo has been active in Indonesia as a coal mine developer and investor. Carlo contributes his in depth knowledge of the international coal mining and trading markets including a detailed understanding of the needs and requirements of the international power plant end-users as well as his network of coal mining contacts and political contacts in Indonesia built up over the last 10 years.
As managing partner of Westphalia Mining, Carlo is responsible for all coal sourcing, mining and logistics activities as well as HR and HSE.

Axel is an internationally experienced senior project developer and project financier with more than 17 years of Asia-Pacific experience.
Axel specialized in PPP/BOT project development and privatizations of major infrastructure projects and in high end real estate project developments.
Axel contributes his in depth understanding of the Asian markets and respective personal contacts and networks developed over the course of his career.
Axel is overall responsible for the commercial side of Westphalia Mining including international sales.
