
In Indonesia, Westphalia Mining & Trading Limited has teamed up with local PT. Multi Makmur, in which it holds a 50% interest. PT. Multi Makmur is a fully licensed coal mining company with its coal assets being based in East Kalimantan. All coal assets are verified to possess clean and clear title. The company is licensed to source coal nationwide and holds all necessary licenses and permits to exploit and export coal.
PT Multi Makmur was founded in 1965 as a general im- and export company, later adding timber production and the export of oil and gas to its activities. Nowadays the company focuses on the mining & production, marketing, trading, and logistics of coal products. PT Multi Makmur is currently in the process of acquiring additional coal assets for exploration and production in East and Central Kalimantan. The company has an experienced management team and a Board of Directors with a proven track record within the mining industry:

Tjekalia acts as the commissioner of PT. Multi Makmur. Having graduated with an accounting degree he worked for a leading international bank in private client services. After advancing to a general management position he rejoined the family business, which he consecutively expanded into timber production and construction prior to focusing on coal.

President Director PT. Multi Makmur
Hiendra acts as the President Director of PT. Multi Makmur. He graduated with an accounting and management degree. As a person with a hands-on-approach and a can-do-attitude he successfully developed various real estate projects before he turned his focus onto the production of coal. At PT. Multi Makmur he handles and supervises all production and operations processes.
